GPON Project introduction

FPT telecom takes advantage of G-COM’s GPON products to build the FTTH optical network in Vietnam. It has solved hundreds of thousands of users’ broadband access problem with using G-COM’s cassette GPON OLT GL5600-08P and GN2000 series to achieve with HGU terminal. After nearly two years of operation our devices work stable with fantastic performance , not only solved old equipment replacement problem but also enhanced user’s bandwidth, improve the user's broadband experience and through the trial to verify the maturity and stability of GPON technology.

FTP GPON network field application cases

FPT Telecom finished network testing of our GPON in 2012 and in late 2012 FPT start commercial pilot, solved 500 users’ Broadband access service with secondary tier splitter, first tier is 1:8, second tier is 1:16. direct coverage to users with our HGU type terminal, mainly bearing data access and IPTV services . Up to now , we provide more than 4000 OLTs for FPT, solved more than hundreds of thousands of families’ broadband access difficulty. FPT is still in the large-scale PON network construction at present. FPT is already one of the biggest use of PON technology in Vietnam to achieve all-optical network.
